Shortbread Cookies

A shortbread cookie with a long history

The story of the shortbread cookie has it that the ancient Scots baked shortbread in the winter months and put cuts in the rounds to represent the sun’s rays. History rumors this was some sort of ritual to persuade the sun to return and do away with the cold winter. Here at Little Rae’s we’re happy to serve shortbread anytime of the year. So no matter what the season there is always something to look forward to.
